Drake has announced that he will be releasing his album on Friday.
The rapper broke the news during a surprise appearance at OVO sound recording artist Majid Jordan’s Toronto show.
Twitter user @GeeBoyWonder posted a video of the announcement.
“The reason I’m here tonight is because I’m back in the city finishing my album,” Drake told the audience. “I’ve got a new single dropping tomorrow night too, just in case you got some free time.”
The rapper kept himself busy in 2018, kicking off the year by surprise releasing a two-song EP, Scary Hours, in January. Lead single “God’s Plan” just enjoyed its 10th consecutive week atop the Billboard Hot 100, while second single “Diplomatic Immunity” peaked at No. 7. He also guested on OVO signee BlocBoy JB’s “Look Alive,” which peaked at No. 5 on the Hot 100 in February.
